Terms and Conditions of Service

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before purchasing, accessing, or using any of our programs and services.

Continuous Service – Continuous Service – For your convenience, your Hometurf Lawn Care (“Hometurf”) service continues from year-to-year. If you desire to make a change to your service, or to stop your service, please notify us at 888-791-8873 or at [email protected]. Reminders of our continuous service model will be included on all workorders as well as annual renewal notices which will be sent in the fall via mail and e-mail.

Contact Information – Contact Information – To the extent allowed by law, by providing your home phone number, cell phone number, or email address to Hometurf, you expressly consent for Hometurf, along with its agents and affiliates, to contact you by telephone, including through the possible use of an automatic telephone dialing system or other automated technology, text and pre-recorded message, or by email, with offers and other information regarding Hometurf products and services. You expressly consent to be contacted through such means at the telephone numbers (including wireless numbers) or the email addresses you provide to Hometurf. You represent and warrant that any mobile or wireless telephone number you provide belongs to you and is associated with a mobile device in your possession. You will notify Hometurf if your mobile or wireless telephone number changes. Consent is not a requirement of purchase.

Payment Collections – Payment Collections – Payment for services is due upon receipt. For your convenience, we offer a discounted Pre-pay option as well as an option to pay ‘Per Application’ and complete payments after services are rendered. Customer agrees that Hometurf may contact Customer via telephone, text, or email in the event debit/credit card or bank account payment fails when processed. We offer several forms of payment options, including credit card payments, which can be completed via our website or over the phone, online banking payments, and payments via cheque.

Refunds are not offered, and credit will be issued when applicable.

Prepayment Agreement – If Customer elects to Prepay for some or all Hometurf services, Customer acknowledges and agrees that depletion of Customer’s prepayment funds is not an automatic cancellation of Customer account and that services, including those containing the application of pesticides, will continue after Customer’s prepayment funds are depleted unless Customer contacts Hometurf to cancel Customer account.

Service Offerings – Availability of some services will vary by geographic location. Not all services may be offered in all locations. A full description of all planned services can be found on each workorder that you receive throughout the season. As work is completed, the dates of completion and the technician responsible will be added to each workorder. https://dev.hometurf.ca/lawn-care-programs/ contains a full description of the services included in all of our core programs and https://dev.hometurf.ca/additional-services/ contains a description of add-on services that can be added to programs at an additional cost. The cost for programs and add-on services is current on the website; by inputting your address, you will receive the customized price which is based on the your lot size.

Treatments and Pre-Notification – Hometurf will generally complete lawn treatment applications once every 4 to 6 weeks throughout our production season (which typically lasts from late-March to early-October across all Canadian markets); weather, soil, and general lawn conditions can affect the timing of certain services – as such, we do not guarantee the order with which we will complete all services or provide a full schedule of dates we will complete services at the onset of each year. We do offer, only upon request, an automated e-mail or phone call the day before service that we are ready to perform.

Field visits and Resprays – Field visits are free for full program customers. If you take the recommended number of annual treatments and you notice issues or problems with your lawn, we will work to correct those issues, at no additional cost to you. Following the completion of weed control applications, if you are not satisfied with the effectiveness of the treatment, you may request a respray. One free respray is available, only upon request, per weed control application for all full program customers.

Workorders – Customers will receive a documented workorder following each service application. The workorder will provide a list of all services scheduled for the current season and the dates of completion for any services that have been rendered. The workorder will also contain a summary of the customer’s account, including any amounts owing or credits on file. Workorders will also include a reminder of the terms of our continuous service model.

Non-Discrimination Statement – Hometurf does not discriminate in our services on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, sexual orientation, gender expression or identity, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, veteran or military status. At Hometurf, we are always committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment to all employees, customers, and vendor partners.

Changes to Terms and Conditions of Service – Hometurf reserves the right to make changes to these Terms and Conditions of Service at any time, and such changes will be effective immediately upon being posted on the hometurf.ca website. Each time Customer uses hometurf.ca, Customer is encouraged to review the current Terms. Customer can determine when these Terms were last revised by referring to the ‘Last Updated’ legend at the top of these Terms. Customer’s continued use of hometurf.ca will constitute the acceptance of the then-current Terms; however, any material changes to these Terms after Customers last usage of hometurf.ca will not be applied retroactively. Except for such material changes, the Terms that were in effect at the time any claim or dispute arose between Customer and Hometurf will be applied.
